The only time I had ever held a drill before was 2 years ago with John hanging with me giving instruction. I was unsure how much I would remember but as soon as I heard the sound of the drill it all came back, I could hear John telling me what to do. Saxman & I shared the effort equipping a real nice 10 bolt arete line.

The party was great and I was sorry I couldn't stay the night. Goldie had a great time too.

I would also like to know the mass of each cubic inch of dirt moved. For a grand total of Work that was done.

Of course the distance is an important factor as that factors into Work, as W=Fd(Cos Th). Theta may be hard to get depending on the angles of the shovels. I guess then you would have to factor in the angular momentum of the shovel, as well as a few more variants.

I think that may be hard to obtain as the density of teh dirt that was moved varied, much like our corbin sandstone.

Checking my notes, we ended up with a shitton of trail work, a good bit of routes, a bunch of BBQ and pizza, and almost 2 kegs.


Total at the end of the weekend I think was three new trails up to What about Bob, Rival, and Courtesy. We got the biking trail up to probably close to a mile finished and a good bit more mapped and cut. Kipp did a bunch as well but I'm not sure how much is still to be done for that wall. Sunday we got Bob Marley rerouted too.

We had perhaps 70 different volunteers and tons of tools. All that is resource we can apply to the Recreational Trails grant we just got from the state!

charlie, I only built belay platforms at curbside, so I am guessing they won't calculate into the denisty per inch theorem that the users demand.

when will additional route information on the new areas be available?

it will be going on line soon. i need the route info for the new routes and already have the old ones in excel. if you bolted a route please send me the info asap and i will finish that up this week.

Thank you Charlie for your accurate account of items performed this weekend, but this still doesn't get us to the Real Truth.

I am not skilled in the conversions for a shitton to metric, or bunch to cardinal numbers, and therefor having a difficult time mathematically determining the actual amount of work. People NEED to know this information.

Please enlighten me on a conversion for such measurements.
