One of the problems with sarcasm and "fucking with people" is there really are no clearly marked boundaries. If you cannot see a person's face or their body language you are at an even greater disadvantage and the probability of misunderstanding and hurt feelings increases.
I know this because I spent a lot of time being sarcastic and going too far and hurting people. Now I try to be more circumspect on what I say or who I say it to.
I do get tired of threats to do physical violence on people and I wish you who do it would chill the fuck out.
