These discussions with Triad are ongoing. We know the road is a problem, but so far there aren't any terribly simple solutions.
In the past we donated funds ( $2K annually) for Charmagne and Lee county to grade it. It's on the radar, just haven't managed to work anything out with Triad yet.

Hippies are annoying. i agree. If anyone needs someone to drive their car up the m'load hill or for a tug out of the ditch just give me a call my cell at 859 882 9245 the house phone is 606 668 0245. I have a f-250 and I ain't afraid to use it!
One time I got my front end off of the road and had to get pulled out. It cost $160 and I've had a sore ass ever since! If I can f' over "the man" I'll smile the whole time while I'm doin it!!

I've driven my jetta out there many times, but it's a rough ride... I even went in the back way about a year ago (I hear you can't do that now). But I've also been with others that refuse to go down that hill because they either think they can't make it back out or they'll fuck up their car. If I were them I wouldn't donate either. Again, why should these people donate to a place they can't access?

From the number of cars I see parked up top and from how quickly the hill gets demolished, I don't think people are stopped from accessing the PMRP.
Coal Bank (Solar, Dark Side, Gold Coast, Crossroads, Far Side) is in the PMRP as well and there's not a treacherous hill.
Don't forget that there is more to the RRGCC than just the PMRP. There's the work they do with the FS and then there's the future ....
And if we lose the PMRP, can you imagine how crowded other cliffs will be? Overload the other cliffs and we may lose them too.

wow, people will say anything to justify themselves to theirselves. "my car wont make it, boo hoo hoo so i wont donate to the RRGCC" Ever heard of a carpool? I never drive my rig to the bottom (yes my 2wd ranger makes it out no problem) but I seem to climb there alot.
People will find any reason bitch......
