mike_anderson wrote: I'd like to hear more about this "conservative revolution". Is it a revolution or an evolution? I can't really envision a violent event in which hoards of people would demand that more power be given to corporations. Now, if it took place slowly, over time (like the last 60 years), I could believe that. Please clarify.
There is no conservative "revolution" - I was just using this language to respond to your comment. It is usually the left which engages in violent revolutions. Conservatives by definition tend to be happy the things are (or were). We don't wish to enact drastic and/or unconstitutional change.

My point is that with a liberal president and congress it will be conservatives that gain power if the economy continues to suck. Those in control always get blamed, just like Bush was.

And please stop saying liberals. Like all liberals are the same. Its as stupid as thinking all conservatives are the same. What you are doing is dividing people and making things worse. Please watch the video in the link and think about the way you say things and your perceptions.

What are you talking about?

I don't think I've spent a lot of time name-calling on this or any other thread. I generally don't like to call anyone a liberal, for it is my experience that those generally identified as liberal are, in fact, rather illiberal. That's what I'm talking about.

Larry I wasn't talking about you, and I get just as annoyed when people say conservatives, or anything in which they are stereotyping or generalizing a large, diverse population.

Glassy-eyed-true-believer of any denomination. Close-minded.... It all means the same thing. I'm just waiting for someone to pull the trigger.
Its been my studied observation that typical "conservatives" are better armed i.e. guns and military grade weapons, camoflage. They are more likely to have some military service under their belt and may or may not be aware of the current political enviroment. Basically they ignore the process until their lifestyle is interrupted. Then they go shoot whatever is messing up their groove.
Now the "liberals" are not as well armed (it goes against one of the basic tenets of the faith to have arms in the hands of ordinary civilians, they want the goverment to do all of the "policing") When they, the liberal/marxist/socialist/ persons other than conservatives, strike, they strike with bombs not guns.
Irregardless, whoever pulls the "trigger" first. Do you have a plan? I do. Its get the F out of all the major citys and be ready for some serious rioting. L.A. will burn. All of Detroit, Atlanta, New York,Okland, you name it. All major cities will be on fire. The Country will go into serious "lockdown" mode.
I think the 2010 elections will be scary. I think that there are people who are biding their time waiting for the election results and if Amerika doesn't reverse its current course then they'll do something. I am not basing this postulation on any particular conversation, just on a general feeling that I get from all of the conversations that I have had over the last two years. People are Pee'd off. I was in a gun store the other day and a guy came in and bought $1100 worth of 5.56. It happens almost every day since the 2008 elections. You can't find a good sorce of ammo. It all gets bought up. People are scared, and thats what scares me the most!
