the "in" thing is being a pre-Constantine Roman Paganist. it goes well with my red Reebok high tops and my faux-hawk.

Clearly you never went to a Stryper show: http://stryper.com/pigsteak wrote:....why does church music suck so bad?
Wow, if you get that then . . .pigsteak wrote:example: people pray for safety during a christmas drive, but they die in a car accident anyway..the "church" answer is either they are with the lord, it was the lord's will, etc..then why did we pray specifically again?
Okeydokey, I'm back on here against my better judgement.pigsteak wrote:lol...I always thought several things were wierd with christianity when I attended church...first, christmas and easter were held as some sort of sacred dates, yet they are guesstimates, so why not just celebrate year round instead of forcing it.
second, people tell you to pray with the faith of a mustard seed, pray specifically, etc yet at the same time ask for God's will in all things...seems a bit of a contradiction to me. example: people pray for safety during a christmas drive, but they die in a car accident anyway..the "church" answer is either they are with the lord, it was the lord's will, etc..then why did we pray specifically again? he"answers" the prayer, it is God listening to the faithful...he doesn't "answer" the prayer, then either he has better things for your life or his vast knowledge trumps your desires....that part is a crock....christians would be better served acknowledging that prayer is a very weak vessel to faith. and these catch all excuses for failed prayer look very ridiculous.
and third, why does church music suck so bad?
