Lexington can support a gym if the gym owners don't give freebies to all of their friends- that is, the entire local climbing community. On second thought, the gym owner should give freebies to the local climbers and pay for the gym on the backs of the church groups and b day parties. Let the kids pay for our addiction. That's what I say.

Maybe the c-bus kids, but if you are in Cinci, you have no excuse for not being hella strong with ct and rockquest.
A gym in Lexington would be nice, but I love the best bouldering in KY...

I'd be the perfect gym owner. I don't have any friends.

Build it and they will come. Good bouldering and don't forget a campus board tread wall and system wall. And plenty of TRing for the church groups and bday parties (got to keep the lights on, you know).

Why would anybody want to join a rock gym in lexington what with all the home gyms and Johnson center around? Seems to me that if there was the market for it there would be one already. ( I know all about climb time and lex rocks...) Now what?

its not the members of a rock gym that "keep the lights on" its the gumbies, bday partys, scouts, church groups, etc.
