anyway, I appologize for arguing my opinion, which is based on what I believe to be common sense, but not provable facts

No apology needed, as a soldier, I fought for your right to say what you want and feel, better men than me died for it. I am middle of the road, lean right on a few issues, pulled left on a few more, but starting to feel a slight bit Libertarian in some respects. I am disenchanted with our present government on some key issues, the Border, the way the war is being fought, and our budget. I don't see any candidates at this time I will vote for, right, left, or otherwise. Untill a candidate appears that I can believe in again, Im sitting this one out. I was liking Obama, but the more I follow him and he states his ideals and beliefs, I'm at odds with a few of his stances on issues like gun control, the Military, and taxes.
On a final note, I thought the left usually entailed the smarter, more intellectual and enlightened of us, but by example on here as of late, I have seen more venom, hate and down right nastiness come from this very group. So whos really better?????

Its hard to remain calm and non-reactionary when dealing with things that you know in the end you truly have no control over, especially when you can blantly see that you are being lied too and manipulated. Personally I get frustrated when I can't tell what is misdirection and what is reality. I am no conspiracy theorist, but I know when something is not right. The reason that I believe in the oil cliche is because the war has publicly been about everything but oil. These dynamic (and usually moral) reasons assure me that there is another cause that is not even on the table, one that is probably less moral. I am not trying to argue, I am merely expressing my opinion. Everyone knows that arguing an opinion is about as fruitful as watering you lawn with gasoline.
So whos really better?????
We're all human, and quite fallible, except the pope of course. I would say the real question is Who will allow our country, and (in the age of nuclear weapons) humanity to exist for a longer time span?

FYI.........

Some of us (on all sides of the spectrum) avoid the exercise in futility that is arguing politics/religion on the intardweb.

I agree, but sometimes it's enlightening to see who puts up or shuts up!
I wanna see who says what they mean and means what they say.
