I'll be sticking with my older EDGE unit for a while. The up-front price drop for the (new, latest) 3G units is nice, but then the service plan is more expensive, so it wipes out the 'savings'.

It's a bummer that Apple will be blocking outside apps that would allow the phone to serve as a "modem"! (In other words, let your laptop connect to the internet through the phone - AT&T has it's own product for that, so Apple is going to block official programs from providing that function.)

I'll see if I can hold out for whatever the "next generation" of iPhone is....

Goddamn I hate my iPhone. Aside from the fact that sending or recieving MMS pic messages is plainly not supported, even the SMS text messages have a character limit. I've received multiple txt's in the last few days that were cut off.

What a piece of shit for anyone that actually uses their MMS. Wish I could get my money back.

I don't hate the phone, just the traitors who switched to AT&T for this stupid phone! I have to watch my minutes more carefully now....
