diggum,
elitists are terrible at giving beta. the courtewous thing to do would be for a pperson to ask you if you would lke beta before you leave the ground. also, one should never freely give beta, spewing it up the rock. wait for the climber to ask fot it. they are climbing, not you on the ground. I'm sorry if I ever have done that to you.

hey, on all things climbing, perhaps there is agreement. yes, the elitist comment was way over judgemental. usually it is someone just off that particular route, or someone who has it wired, that gives unsolicited beta. funny part too, you might ask for a specific piece of beta, and then they stand at the bottom, and beta smash you all the way to the chains..draining.

I usually request the start beta, but the rest doesn't usually help much. Unless I've fallen & I'm just hanging there where I can get a good look a the rock.
