Those routes linked up are a monstrosity. Period. I have crazy respect for the guys that do that shit. I totally believe that I'd be doing it did I not have more important responsibilities in Ohio......but I'm a weekend warrior. No...make that a 6 day a month warrior.

And Ho....for your clarification...and no, this is not a "spray" situation....Lets Brachiate is not at Torrent, its at Church Rock. So we "hiked" to Church Rock (all 200 yards and 50' of elevation gain, hiked the back way into Torrent, the main trail to Skybridge, the trail to Jack and Jones, and Fortress. And hiked back out of all those. And to throw something else in your mix, I'm in full belief that driving in between made it worse. That, in Kentucky summer humidity, is tough for us weekenders. If you'd like to join me for one of those days this spring, I'd be happy to kill you and leave you at a remote crag. Say the word.

512OW wrote:That noone agreed with me right off the bat suprised me. I expected that at least Wes would recognize the irony, as in an earlier post I stated that "all climbing is practice, if you ever plan on climbing harder". Hell, I've defended bouldering on here as much as I've trashed it.
Drat. I thought the irony was that a lot of non-climbers would argue that climbing itself is not a sport in its own right. I guess next time I'll do my Odub post research before I go answering any test questions.

Why are the only real "bouldering" areas not in the online guide, but some problems at some of the crags are ????????????

Oops! I thought the original post was about there being no bouldering forum on this site.

I really am curious. I've asked 2 admins already. You and Ray. Now its Wes' turn, if he isn't ignoring me like a good Christian would....

Kris, if you are going to stir the sh1t, would you please at least be consistent. In your first quote you are trying to one-up Wes who was pulling from earlier threads comments you have made about climbing.

It is difficult enough to follow your semi-lucid rants but once you start contradicting yourself it just leaves way to many doors open to b1tch smack your @ss back into the fetal position that one just figures you are no longer worth the time.

Thanks. I know you like to hold yourself up to a higher intellectual standard that other mere ape-like mortals.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Hey douche bags, this is a topic about the pure lack of bouldering as art. Not about leaving your draws hanging on a 5.8, climbing El Cap 9 times in one week, or about any form of roped climbing. Just goes to show that the majority of people on this forum don't know why they boulder... you wouldn't know a pure form of art if it hit you in the face and smelled like fish.

They not only wouldnt know it, theyd call it choss and say its sandbagged, unless of course they send it, in which case they downgrade it.
What if you just threw to...
