I've got one I bolted while drunk and I not only can't find the top...I can't find the climb...

maybe thats a good thing. if you were too drunk to remember where the route is, i would question the quality of the bolting job done in that state. if you ever do find it, you should probably check the bolts

Agreed. I would hate to be called out by Lurkist because it would actually have some truth behind it.

So I thought I settled this matter back in October when I offered to make amends to Jason for my mistakes. He seemed satisfied that the public ridicule I had faced was punishment enough, and for his part, he has been surprisingly understanding and gracious. I didn’t feel obliged to apologize to anyone but him at the time, and considered the matter over.

After reading the latest posts, I now see that I was wrong again, so I offer this public apology. I now realize that since you all are such a tight-knit community that you collectively suffer when a member of your group is wronged, so as a result, you have a right to feel that I wronged you personally. Through my poor actions I have eroded your community’s sense of trust and mutual respect and I apologize for doing that. When I set out to bolt routes that day, my goal was not to hurt people, but obviously I screwed up, and did just that. Since I moved here two years ago I have made numerous efforts to contribute to the community and I think anyone looking at my record objectively can see that clearly. I sincerely regret my actions back in October, and if I could change the past, I would. Since I can’t do that, I am eager to try to make up for it now. Jason turned down my previous offer to atone to him, but if anyone out there feels I need to atone to them (Jason included), let me know how I can make it up to you.
