i know riding is dangerous (i can't even count the nbr of times i've fallen off a horse - the record is 4 times in 1 day) but the book seabiscut really illustrated how dangerous it is to be a jockey.

Kentucky.com says he "walked off on his own power to medical transport." I have a several shot series where you can see him start to come off, and he held on for long enough for most of the other horses to pass. The horse went ahead and ran the rest of the race...

I agree, the bird shots are great. You must have stood there with your lens to the sky trying to chase those guys around the sky for quite sometime before you could get such a great shot.
