I guess it all boils down to why you climb. Personally, I'm not looking for credit and although it may disappoint some people, I'm sure as shit not trying to impress anyone. This is one of the many things I feel me and Piggie have in common.

Who's the FA? Who freaking cares? I'm more impressed with who found the line and equipped the route. It's more so I know who to thank for the work and vision than anything else.

It's rockclimbing, not a winning lottery ticket or a Nobel prize.

LOL

Tonight, I'm going to get a sex change operation between so I can understand the difference between men and women. I just don't feel like I can really get it unless I do. Speaking of, can I borrow your pamphlet, Meadows? ;)

man, merrick and charlie, I love you guys.

maybe guidebooks at sport areas should delete all lists of FA, and note the equipper and anything funny or noteworthy about the rap bolting experience or how the route got it's name.
"Pigsteak would like to thank: his Mom, God, Snoop Dogg, and Bill Clinton for help on the FA"

..I used to love looking at FA's from the early years of climbing, and marvel at the nads those dudes had. now, it seems almost silly.

that being said, i'll continue listing anyone i damn well please on the FA list. take it with a grain of salt. more than likely, I sent the line on TR, and didn' have the guts to lead it.
in fact, on one of my lines, I have listed two guys for wierd reasons. One put in anchors and never even got on the route. The other climbed the first 15 feet of the line, and never even touched the final 50 feet. But it was about the experience, and thanking them for helping the line evolve.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

pigsteak, You should list Yas and Wes for the superb beta on Demise ... especially since Wes knocked it down a letter grade.

Meadows, shit. I was afraid of that. I kept comparing what I saw in the mirror with what I saw in the pamphlet, but was reluctant to admit the truth...

pigsteak, can I be listed for "helping Lobsterclaw evolve" if I chip a nice crimp up there at the top?
