Disclaimer about my above post and accompanying pics-
please try, as difficult as it may be (believe me, I know), to look past the stunning and dashing good looks and striking presence of the model posing (key word being "posing") with the Archimedes Crank.
Best of luck...

Dude, I believe you've got it! The archmedes crank could be marketed on QVC to net millions. Another idea would be to put the counter balance weights from the video (100 posts back), under your feet or knees like a regular assisted chin up.

Who was that stud modeling the equipment anyway :D

Something to Ponder: Now an old man, he sits on the porch as the young boys and girls go by to climb the mighty wall. In his day he was considered the best, known as the emporer of the mountain but today the passers by don't even know his name. He recalls when he believed he was immortal and knew he was the best climber of his time, thinking it would always be. some lessons learned and some lessons forgotten the old man on the porch sits and watches, occasionally someone will stop to chat and he will share his wisdom, and experience. For the old man has learned the greatest lesson of all " it is not who is the greatest climber today or tomorrow that is important, it is the journey along the way that will be the measure of who we are."

Remember, those who we teach our ways will surely pass us along the journey our time as the best is limited but the influence we pass on is eternal.

You need to add numbered tick marks so you can know how many reps you did at which point on the dowel with which arm.

Dude, I quit counting along time ago how many times I have been passed. I am officially on that porch. Pass the jug.

One arm campusing is a better way to hurt yourself while trying to be a baddass.

That is bad ass.
I like his stair stringer rig with the PVC with skid tape.
