Would that make or lose money?

There would not be an overhead for the calendar so it would make money.

You should leave the humor to the experts, young one.
I consider myself officially slapped on the wrist, but before I go sit off in my corner alone, let me just say this.
When it comes to the climbing community it is our diverisity that makes us so strong and special. Here there is no such thing as too old or to young, too fat or too skinny, too tall or to short... ect. We are all in this because of who we are not what we are, and I really hope this calander is going to reflect that.
That's all I really have to say, so I had better be quiet before Meadows chastises me again.

Aw, why'd you have to go and get all serious? More dick jokes, please!

Cal me crazy, but I'd pay money for a good 'all female' calender where the girls are out there cranking hard. I'm not sure I would pay for a calender of girls fingering (oops, did I say that?) climbing gear. Its an awsome idea, and I'm sure it would be good because Chester is so good at photography, but...
my 2 cents.

As sooon as the sages give me permission.
Oh that's right I don't need it. Here you go.
The priest in a small Irish village loved the cock and ten hens he kept in the hen house behind the church. But one Saturday night the cock went missing! The priest knew that cock fights happened in the village so he started to question his parishioners in church the next morning.
During Mass, he asked the congregation, "Has anybody got a cock?"
All the men stood up.
"No, no," he said, "that wasn't what I meant. Has anybody seen a cock?"
All the women stood up.
"No, no," he said, "that wasn't what I meant. Has anybody seen a cock that doesn't belong to them?"
Half the women stood up.
"No, no," he said, "that wasn't what I meant. Has anybody seen MY cock?"
All the nuns, three altar boys, two priests and a goat stood up.
(Sorry about the hijack)

I think pictures of women cranking hard are awesome, but they're all over the place. You could peruse this site, rockclimbing.com, Wes's site, and any number of trip report sites and see them. We wanted to put a different spin on things. Trust us and trust Chester's skills, and if you don't like the finished product, no worries.

Um, I wasn't chastising you for being too young to input your ideas into the community, Erika. I'm glad you understand diversity at such a young age and in such a
short time within the climbing community.

Wonder if Rock and Ice or Climbing would donate one of the small ads in the back to sell to a wider audience? Of course, a wider audience might not exist. I think a bunch of dumb guys would buy anything with women and climbing in the title even if it were pictures of them cleaning cams.

It's not a female climbing calendar, it's a female climber calendar...hope that clears up the confusion!
There are plenty of calendars out there of climbers climbing...this is different.
Gheesh guys! Talk about pressure! Relax...if we only sell one lousy calendar, I accomplished what I really set out to do...and that is what someone posted earlier...we are all beautiful in our own way. I just want to record the true beauty of the lovely ladies of the Red. In the end, each of these women will have a beautiful portrait that they can hang on their wall and be proud to show their grandkids and great grandkids.
The way I see it. If you think it's sexy, good for you. If you think it's degrading of women, then thats fine too. But don't make judgements until you've seen the work.
Like Yasi said, there is no overhead...no money needs to be put up to have these photos taken....let's just have fun with this, gals!
I will take a sample portrait tomorrow and put it up for you to look at...
