If you meet a moody hard climber, more than likely he/she is just hungry. It's a tough road to sponsorship and they have to starve themselves not only to climb the grades, but to look good for a Prana (now Liz Claiborne) ad. Paul doesn't look that good from cardio, he starved himself until there was nothing left but a 6-pack on his stomach. Ray too.

Furthermore, with all that stress, hard climbers are probably constipated. You recreational climbers just wouldn't understand unless you are a fashion model yourself. Have some heart and offer them the lettuce off your sandwich.

So the climbing made me bipolar. I knew the other risk, hitting the deck, blowing a tendon but I had no idea it would make bipolar

Oh and roots I hear you arguement. I have to remind myself that I am socially retarded and that people in general freak me the fuck out. Alot of times I think people are flexing their egos and they probably are not. We just need to spread our wings and be free.

As I said before, I've really not experienced that type of elitism and I'm NOT a 5.12 climber or anywhere close. I'm not saying it isn't out there. I just surround myself with good people. I'm damn fortunate that way. My friends kick ass and so do those who are just my acquaintances. I think it sucks for those people who have had bad experiences.

all you arm chair psychologist out there....leave the hard work to the pig-meister.

you wussy under 5.12 climbers need to get over your fear of failure, and start achieving something that will get you noticed by more than your beer gut. old lady greeters at wal mart may be impressed..the "crew" behind miguel's is silently laughing at you.

you over 5.12 bad ass hero's...you know who you are....keep kickin' it, and stay strong...peace out homie.

Two Words: Power Wheel. You can buy this at most retail stores (i.e target, kmart, walmart). Using this 3x a week I got considerably stronger over a short period of time. These things are money!
