i wasted too much energy moving to the rest that wasn't really a rest.
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

I had too much/not enough coffee;
shouldn'ta eat that sausage, egg, bacon and cheese biscuit on the way;
didn't eat enough this am;
got too pumped on my warm-up/didn't stretch/warm-up enough
