I have heard for years from those offering guide services that the Red lacks good beginners routes, I don't know what the solution would be other than keep looking, I can't imagine JB harshing anyone ( he's one of those artsy singer song writer types don't ya know) and I think his occupation gives him a good angle on gumby types and their behavior. WWWD? you're killing me on this one, Mr T, can't I just take back?

why do I always have to decide these pigeon fights? gumbies should not, repeat, should not venture away from the confines of the indoor gym until they can comfortably lead 5.10.
real rocks are for real women and men....you want to fluff yer feathers for your significant other, then do it inside with classic rock blasting so she can't hear you whine 6 inches above the last bolt. no one owes you a lesson in outdoor climbing.
any street urchin can flash 5.10 sport with a minimal of preparation. if you ain't there yet, then stay inside, practice your spray sessions on other starry eyed gumbies, and for god's sake learn to lead and transfer before killing yourself on the real stone.
have a nice day.

Uh, Pigsteak, compared to most of the guys who posted here, you're the gumby. Sorry to rain on your smug parade.

Back to the topic - Maybe someone should ask the landowners what they think. Fuck, those "hilti-packin' hillbillies seeing the world through rose colored glasses" may bolt the whole fucking crack. After all it is Roadside.

um, meadows, have you not been reading my treatise on this subject?
stepping out of "gumby-dom" and into the eternal bliss of bad ass sponsorship is not an either/or proposition. there is only one line of demarcation between the haves and have nots, and I set that line as I deem necessary. thanks for trying.

Isn't this a trad thread? So since the line of demarcation is consistently sending .12s and I guess that includes .12 trad lines too ... yup, you're a gumby. Have fun in the gym this weekend.
I would guesstimate, given your experience that you're Gumby level 25. Team Suck put me up to Gumby Level 8 this past weekend.

I hope that's an attempt at humor.
When I started climbing the only gym near me was CT Lex. How would you learn to lead 5.10 there? Answer: YOU NEVER WOULD.

ascensionist...
then ya better get a job and save your pennies, because a lifetime membership at a cincy gym (and gas money to get there) ain't gonna be cheap.
