Now that was funny toad, but making sexist comments about how fit a woman must be is not funny it just shows your ignorance. One may want to join in on the scrotum talk if this evening one would put on a favorite Sade CD, light some scented candles and slowly stroke and gently squeeze one's nut sack while fantasizing about certain upity women with their fingers buried three knuckels deep in their womanhood, manipulating what amounts to be a shot glass filled with feminine secretions.
Are you selfconscious about the size of your penis? I have a good friend that says one climber she slept with had a penis the length and width of her pinky finger. If I didn't despise this guy so much I MIGHT feel sorry for him!

How would you know this unless you are a woman? I know a woman who is super freakin' fit and runs marathon's and swims...and bleed's 5 days 3 of which are extremely heavy...Toad wrote:Main,
I didn't mean it to be sexist. If you read it like it was written, then you would realize that what I said could be true. If a woman is super fit, then she may not have to worry about a period. How can that be taken as sexist? A woman can be a fat slob with an ass as wide as a barn door and bleed all friggin day long for all I care. Be who you are.
My penis gives me no worries, but thanks for asking. As long as it's big enough to get an inch or so of stroke action, then every thing is good.
I'd just like to know where you got your information...

Ahh, let's make this an academic discussion.Toad wrote:If a woman is super fit, then she may not have to worry about a period. How can that be taken as sexist? A woman can be a fat slob with an ass as wide as a barn door and bleed all friggin day long for all I care. Be who you are.
1. "super-fit" in your world would be a matter of opinion only.
I personally believe that it is unhealthy to starve your body to such a point of nourishment that you start to lose normal bodily functions. When a woman does not have her period her body is saying that she is not "fit enough" to bear children and in that sense evolutionally flawed.
The sexists comment was probably more in relation to the presumption that women who do have their periods are not fit and therefore not attractive. An extensive extrapolation for certain, but then again if you had to live with people's first descriptive comment about a good woman being, "She's pretty," then qualified with, "Oh, and smart and nice," you might become sensitive to it as well.
2. You may also want to note that when a woman gets to be a "fat slob with an ass as wide as a barn door" she too will lose her ability to have a period.
3. "Be who you are."
Okay, I'll let that one go. It is about the only decent thing you've said. So I'll reciprocate it...continue being a toad. At least you know what you are.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

LLR: I am certain you've offended any male gynecologist with that statement.
Toad is right though: any woman with low body fat is at risk for amenorrhea (this could happen because of heavy training, not enough protein and not enough calories). However, he overlooked one point - birth control pills which keep things [sorry for this pun] flowing. BTW, it's not a blessing to have amenorrhea; women could suffer premature osteoporosis, impaired performance, infertility, increased risk of injury (i.e. stress fractures) and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and endometrial cancer. Our reproductive hormones do a lot more for us than just the obvious. Toad, you might want to tell that to your friends.
