When there's a whiny ass at the gym wanting to come down, I yell up to them "the only way down is up!"

Sometimes, "up" is not always the way to go. I've been doing more downclimbing than 'up-climbing' (is there such a word?) now that I'm trying to get back into leading. It's the only way for me to finish a route without any falls or takes.

Of course, there's always the occasional route that you just have to go for, if you want a redpoint.
In Jared's case, if he's about to flash the crux on something I fell on, I do the old trick of "That foot's not on!". Works all the time!
