I think what wwjd was asking with the original post was, do folks in the Red believe in JC as a God/ deity, and do folks in the Red feel the way to every lasting life is through that belief in JC as God.
So, the task at hand is for wwjd to explain to the community, as a witness for Christ, how climbing, projecting something into the dirt, redpointing, spending an inordinate amount of time at the cliff totally self absorbed in one's own pleasure and repast, how this has anything to do with Christ's message. Look, proselyte, go back and read the Gospels and after, if you want to talk about walking Christ's walk, start a street ministry taking care of people who can't care for themselves. Don't delude yourself that by rock climbing your doing anything other than being self serving. To co opt a true Christian ethos to rationalize your climbing is weak and doesn't reflect the humanism that Christ had in mind.
BTW, sending a route won't get you into heaven. Sorry, try again.

bahh...

if you want to climb for christ, that's cool... but that probably also means that you shit for christ, masturbate for christ, eat for christ, breathe for christ, pick your nose for christ, work out for christ, drink coffee for christ, etc...

and i'm not making fun. if you are keeping your faith in mind at all times, coming up with metaphors and connections for your spiritual life through any of the above items (or items of your own choosing), then by all means you're probably on the right track. if you are seeking truth in all things, then go for it, climb on for jesus!
amen.

While Buddah would probably be an excellent boulderer, I was at church today looking at the crucifix, Jesus is ripped and skinny. I'd wager he could onsight V12 at least being omnipotent and all.

If he had the mad skillz to walk on water I'd bet he could send. Why do you think him and his crew of 12 were always hanging out at the crags like mount Herman? How about this:

"we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain"
( 2 Peter 1:18 ).

Sounds like he was probably in the crux of a sweet offwidth.

Jesus had come to this mountain to pray (Luke 9:28-29). Uh, yea, right.
