Didn't anyone catch my reference to Virginia Wolf with the crushed glass? I guess not.

I've studied the Bible pretty intensely, actually. One professor I had was a Methodist preacher but he didn't approach the study from a religious point of view but from a historical view of the book as a document. He freely admitted that many things were added, lost, altered, etc. over time. There are errors. Mistakes. Errors made by sleepy monks or men who felt things were too harsh (like the story of Job which has had a huge chunk added at the end) or weren't harsh enough.

I've also read the Koran, the Book of Tao, the Necronomicon (yikes!), Ulysses (well, actually I've never been able to finish that, one of my greatest failures), the Iliad, and on an on. I don't know everything about this stuff but I'll bet you I know more than certain morons posting in this thread.

What's the difference between a preacher that wants you to come to his church and give him your money and a teacher that instructs you and leads you through the process to enlightenment? There should be none if the two are sincere about what they're doing. As a matter of fact, intelligent people pay other people to show them how to do things throughout their life. Any good priest or minister or whatever is a great teacher. They teach you about their (your?) religion and help you to integrate it into your life. But if you're too fucking stupid to be taught I guess you wouldn't understand.

Christianity EXISTS, dumbass. Whether it's true or not is your own belief but it's not imaginary. Christians are out there being good to people and ruining societies, spreading love and charity and spreading hatred and contempt. It's a big world, little man. Very big.

I'll make fun of imaginary shit if I want to. I can make fun of elves or angels, devils or hobbits. It's all good.
