During my first two years at UK I was good friends with this girl that was a stripper. She didn't like to make it public knowledge though, and some of our other friends found out when the went to the place she worked and got a big surprise.
I think it really sucked for her because guys in her classes would be like, "hey, aren't you that girl that dances at <insert stripclub here>?" and then guys would flirt with her and ask her out just cause they thought she was easy. But, I guess she enjoyed it...and she always had plenty of cash.

I don't have any trouble making it through a shift at work without blow but then I'm not dancing around a pole in shoes that Elton John would wear. I don't think anyone alluded to stripping being easy just well paying, but my memory tain't all that. I think it might be better in Vegas than locally but that is 100% speculation.

It might be really tempting to only work a few nights a week and still live the high life, but I've heard a lot of bad things about stripping. A lot of those clubs have serious drug problems as well as tons of other problems with getting out of the business. If I had a set goal (like paying off credit card debt), and the chest for it, I might consider it. But as a lifestyle, I don't think it's worth it.

Interesting that so many more men think they would be strippers. Is that cause men are more exhibitionist, or because men just want an easy job?
Or maybe because they know there's no way in the world they will ever have do it. It's just easy to say it here behind a screen name.

Sorry for my long rambling story. I just finished my first gigantic bourbon and Ale-8-One of the year and I thought I might share a story since we were talking about strippers...
When I was working at Subaru and living in Lafayette I met a hot girl (who used to be a stripper) while climbing at the Red. We climbed together and exchanged numbers. Anyway, later we started dating and she invited me to come live with her in Indianapolis (this is how I moved to Indy and then soon started working at the climbing gym and the lab, etc. after getting laid off from my troubleshooting job at the autoplant)
Well, it went really well for the first few months and I was a happy guy living the dream of climbing full time and dating a cool chick. However, I spent almost EVERY weekend at New River, Red River, Seneca, TN, AL, GA, our west, etc. until she got so upset about it that she kicked me out! She said something about how we never spent much time together... and I was always climbing... etc. I felt kind of bad about the fact that she couldn't go climbing with me because she worked many weekends, but anyway I had no place to go and I started living at the climbing gym.
Then Obe came to town and became one of the managers at the climbing gym. Sometimes I stayed with friends or met some other cool chicks to stay with for a day or two so I could shower, etc. Obe felt bad for me (or he might have wanted help paying the rent) and kindly invited me to live with him. Later he hooked me up with Karla and I am now a much much MUCH happier man.... and the rest is history.

When I was 19 a guy offered to pay for a boob job if I would strip at a club here in town. He said I could put myself through college. Fortunately, federal loans put me through college too. I have to pay those back, but at least I didn't have old horny men with entitlement issues drooling all over me. Ewwwww.
