so as not to be a complete bitter ass, yasi and liz have shown me that some was better than none. especially in the case of your folks' donations of blood/life. since those ladies were glad to support you folks so am I. not giving the full deal but i'll match yas and throw an extra ten to each since Lee is more than man enough to double donate. that's 60 to both groups for a total of 300 to each.

big thanks to the bleeders and to folks who helped to get the word out. to the rest of you slackers/sissies, get out there and donate!! you will hopefully never know first hand how needed it is or how much it helps. if you ever do though be glad there are unselfish souls out there willing to give.

cheers everyone!!

and i'll buy you bleeders a beer when you see me.

JR, Yasmeen and Liz,

Thank you so much for your generous donations! JR, thanks for starting this up, and for donating despite us not reaching 50. Thanks to all the people that donated. I'm guessing this initiative will have inspired some of us who weren't regularly giving blood (me, for example) to get back on the blood donation wagon.

This was a really cool fundraising idea, especially since the benefits extend even beyond our climbing community.
Thanks again!
Anne

First, so anti knows a little more about the good deed is started, below is:
(i) proof of Amanda’s donation, and
(ii) proof of Eric A.’s donation (even though he couldn’t make it until one day past the deadline).

We issued a challenge to Louisville climbers: $100 to each organization if 15 Louisville climbers rolled up a sleeve. While we didn’t get 15 pints, we did have 15 people who donated before or after the deadline, tried to donate, or helped in other ways.

To show our appreciation, the Louisville crew is sending $100 to FoMV and $100 to RRGCC.

This was fun, guys. Let's do it again!

Pretty cool chandler. Hope Monica is on board with that. Bing!!

Was also told in good faith that my mystery marcher was also going to match, so, thanks to them and all that helped out. Also, at some point I hope the shift goes from some doing the work, to most/all the community doing the work. That's what makes it a community.

Either way. Be safe and have fun

So after two painfully awful experiences attempting to give blood nearly 15 years ago, you were finally able to help me overcome my fears and donate. It was a little late but I am a creature of convenience and I knew a blood drive was happening across the street a week after the deadline. To my secret delight, malaria has saved me again, for at least another 6 months.
