I have one of those in my garage. I didn't know what it was called. I called it PVC with sandpaper...lol

Jokes aside, is this contraption for sloper strength. Don't most hangboard come with a sloper or two on them?

My understanding is that the sloper is positive enough that it doesn't really test contact strength. Because the hold is so good, it doesn't put a lot of stress on your fingers, and tends to isolate forearm muscles, generating a pump without tweaking your fingers.

pk has it right...it targets the forearms.

lee, I just built mine over the summer with help from brentucky...you should have seen us two gumbies trying to pull that off. and shortly after putting it up, well you know the rest of the story.

Wow, I get credit for that? I remember drinking beer and watching you work. Then I went back to doing pull-ups on huge jugs so I could get strong. I still don't know what my problem is. :idea:
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening
