Lateralus, thanks for setting piggie straight. I do want to clarify though - Neal Peart the "8 grade literate drummer" wrote most of the lyrics to their songs. Here's my sterotype - Rush is a Canadian band, therefore way more literate than the average American band.

rhunt, do we inform Lateralus how long we have been listening to Tool, or do we let his misinformed stereotyping continue?

I've met rhunt ( he is correct Geddy didn't write that song I just assumed he did thanks for pointing that out)and we talked about tool actually and drumming not sure if he remembers ..shady grove 4-5 years ago .. The band's name is Rush though piggy, you can go to google.com and learn more about them, don't confuse them with an angry republican though LMFAO. Keep pretending you know anything about me, you missed the point of my post, but sure helped to make it. thanks

dammit..I stepped into that pile of crap for sure.

rhunt and I usually discuss Tool, so I made the connection without reading the posts. In that light, I guess that makes me a good liberal...making profound statements on no factual basis.
Rush..never heard of them. They tour with Lindsey Lohan?

Lateralus - yes I do remember us meeting at Shady. Speaking of drumming and Danny Carey - there are some awesome youtube videos of him playing - check them out, his style is totally different than Neal Peart but really cool.
Pigsteak - keep practicing, you'll get this liberal thing down soon.

I'll check some out, I have seen him play w/ tool several times. He is still the only drummer I've seen who gets more applause when he comes out on the stage than the other band members. Got to see him play at the Metro in Chicago about 40 feet away from him (with pygmy love circus), his precision, attack and command of the drum kit was undescribable really. I wasn't really paying attention to anything else but him during that set. Apparantly the lead singer flashed his junk during one song, which grossed my wife out lol ---but I wasn't listening or watching him at all as I was hypnotized by the drumming skills. Josh Freese played w/ APC right afterwards, he's almost or as good as Danny I 'd have to say. It would be hard to top that night in regards to rock n roll drumming.
oh yeah, I saw some leashed dogs walking around after the show pissing on chicago they were so cute

I personally do not "care" fore dogs at the crag. However if the dog is cool not braking its head off, keeps its nose out of my trail mix. etc ..etc.... I'm cool with it. some of the coolest people I have climbed with have been dogs
no such thing as bad dogs, just bad dog owners...

It all depends on the dog and its owners. Same as bringing kids to the crag. Sometimes, it's person without a dog or kids that is totally obnoxious and ruins the scene for others. Like the guys who scream at the route while they are climbing it. Or the person who hangs on the rope throwing tantrums if they can't send. Most people, dogs, and kids are cool. Some are f#^*&^$ annoying!
It's easier to leave your dog at home if you live in Lexington and just come down for the day. But, if you travel 7 hours to get there every weekend, there's no way to leave your dog at home unless you want to pay for pet care ($32 per day)
I am leaving my dog home this weekend with my spouse who will babysit for free.
