I'm done with the whole eithic, style thing, apparently my point is lost with just me...it happens I'm strange like that. On a different note. A 5.10c climber can work a 5.12c in submission and sooner of later send it. I am a total gumby mt biker. But I have our "advanced" trail completely wired and can do most of it without getting off the bike. Redpoint. pinkpoint, headpoint, its all rehearsal climbing, its in a total different category than all other froms of climbing.

wait what's this thread about again...I am really confused. Everyone's right and everyone's wrong

that is the point rhunt, and it is well taken...example..I could go out and easily do any sport 10 on gear ..does that mean I should chop the bolts, for those gumbies who still climb 10? now, a 5.13 climber could also walk my projects..does that give them the "right" to chop bolts? because trotter can also send their 5.13 sport projects on gear...should we also chop them...

the logic of chopping bolts makes zero sense....go do the FA on gear to start with, and there is no problem. but to 'retro fit" a climb in better style is a lame way to justify chopping bolts....that means once a route is soloed at the lode, the bolts should be removed....

Well I was wondering if this was something two or more people could do together cause I was thinking about coming down and bushwacking by myself in the red this weekend inspired after I watched "Into the Wild" last night, but then the final message was something like "all you need is love" so I was thinking if someone was interested in showing me how to headpoint it might be real lovely.

Everyone is thinking about this as a sport climber doing a bolted line on a gear b/c it was an "easy" route comparatively. Everyone is saying blah blah... any chuffer could do a 5.6 bolted line using hooks taped to the jugs... blah blah. This wasnt an ego thing, it wasnt about doing a sport route on gear. It was seeing a beautiful line that happened to be bolted, looking at the features of the rock, vertical seam, to a horizontal crack, to a continuous water groove. And i was inspired to do it on gear, and it was all there, and it wasnt some contrived bullshit like i was soloing the route basically and sticking shitty gear in stupid places.
So thats it!! i was inspired to do something in a better style and willing to take the risks to do it, so i did!!
Its really that simple!!
Alot you people seem to enjoy bickering via your computers and posting your same opinion over and over and over....
So maybe ill go chop the bolts, and go find other routes that go cleanly on gear and chop those bolts.
And then you can something to do!!!!!!!!
Something to drone on and on an on about on the internet!!!
If anyone has a problem with anything i do i'd rather you tell me to my face, or sucker punch me in the back of the head at least, it would be better than having to read all that......

Hey Sandman you got more stones than me.

Next time though, I hope you think twice about coming on here and posting your adventures and then becoming all offended when you read all the fall-out. That's how stuff happens on here.

Its best to keep your spray limited to your spray list. Otherwise you'll get accused of being on an ego trip.
