I left, but was told he went again and managed to get the rope behind his leg when he fell and he flipped upside down.
And someone caught it all on video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69MowsWiXf0
Yas, that video was worse than my lame story.

Had a good laugh today. Not really "Idiots" per se, but more like gumballs to quote the auspicious pigster. I wish I had my camera on hand, but alas I was belaying.

We were at the Gallery and a group comes over from Gumby Gallery. The two leaders were impressive to say the least.

Leader 1: Wearing harness, back pack, helmet, full rack of draws on harness, multiple rappelling devices, and belay gloves whilst carrying an open copy of Ellington's finest.

Leader 2: Harness and full rack of draws as well, helmet, back pack, and gloves to hold my personal favorite... ski poles. Not trekking poles, just good ol' fashioned ski poles. It was a thing of beauty watching navigate the death defying trail with poles in had, and then seeing my 4 year old wait for him to pass so he walk back on same said trail.

I felt like when I turned around I should have seen the summit of K2.

Now, all the poking fun at them aside... They were nice and actually competent at climbing. All in good fun and made me smile, a lot.

It's better than you think - take a look at the video poster's username. ;)

I was at Johnies wall at Muir on Friday. Group of about 8 or 9 young guys were up on "2 chicken butts". They were yelling and screaming like Adam ondra while trying to send it on top rope. I had left a small rope with a carabiner up there where they were climbing. When I went to retrieve it, the Carabiner was mysteriously missing. I asked them where the carabiner was....."We didn't take it!" Bunch of wankers.
