on my access fund membership card it wrote: local low down
-be informated and care about what happens at your local crag
-respect regulations, including closures

climb stealth
-stay on established trails
-stay on durable surfaces - uh, like rocks
-pick-up and pack-out garbage

speak up speak out
-when the actions of others threaten access or the environment, let 'em know - sometimes we all need a tap on the shoulder
-don't just be a person who climbs, be a climber (see everything above)
emphasis added and strongly emphasized

Thanks KD. Thanks everybody.

I got a phone call today from Deans Attorney, claiming that Dean knew nothing of the Cease and Desist. However, 15 minutes earlier, I got a call from the guy who filmed the arch video, telling me the same thing. Sounds a little overdone to me. I'm not buyin it.

Regardless, the attorney said, and I quote, "Can we consider this matter closed?".

He had no idea the can of worms it would open up. Seems he and his client have the same abilities of forethought, or lack thereof.

He also thanked me profusely for not putting his name in the letter when I posted it.

BigRed wrote:Thanks for the comment about my loyalty. Did my sigh really say all that? I think that a person can find a climber's climbing abilities inspirational, even if we don't agree with everything he/she does.

I guess im just amazed at certain peoples abilities and how far theyve taken them. ie lynn hill, caldwell, potter, sharma, to even strong people I know personally. I climb to push my limits, physically and mentally, and these people inspire me to strive toward pushing those limits to the max.

I guess I hope I can learn from other peoples action when faced with decisions of my own.

1. I never want to jeopardize access.

2. I want to push my limits.

3. Try to add to the positive.

Thats what my climbing stands for, so if you want to attack me about my personal beliefs, attack what I actually beleive in, 1,2 and 3. Gotta a problem with it Slinga?

And I just dont like Mr Hampton bc he wont be my friend on myspace.
First, just like Dean, you assume I'ved attacked you because I said something you don't like. Second, you have not done anything I would attack you for, and third, if I had a problem, it would be solved in person.
I stated clearly I had no problem with your beliefs or your loyalty, just merely questioned both, if you can't handle that without feeling attacked, you should re-think posting on a public forum.

Your such a tool Slinga, I sighed and you felt the need to wet yourself all over this forum. Your whole "how long do you hold out for a sell out" "Im not attacking you" argument stinks like your momma's old wrinkly sagging bacteria infested goat milk mixed with your own dirty ass brown shit infested underwearing pig vomitted face you peice of gerbil dung.

First mistake thinkin you know whats on my mind when you read a sigh.

Second, never act like you want to step to the BIGRED in person to settle something. I'll school you like the first time I bent your old lady over your peice of shit imitation ikea wedding bed you f@cking loser.
