I am not trying to be a downer here, but the president of the RRGCC saying that the ceremonies, party, and film will take place in the Slade area is confusing even for a local.

Hey guys come to my sweet party, its in the cincinnati area, don't miss it.

I know of the some of the difficulties we are having but for people trying to make out of town plans I can see the confusion that they might be having.

The poster said a general answer would be helpful and that is what I provided. To clear up any confusion the film, party, ceremonies, etc. will be held in the field behind Red River Outdoors. Bee Rocks Village Campgrounds is the closest camping to this location.

know your bod: http://www.rrgcc.org/bios.php (even though it is a little outdated.. might get working on that today, too)

and we're working on it. have faith. thankfully it doesn't really have to be hammered down for a while. telling people "slade" then changing it to "rro" isn't going to make or break things.. not yet. we'll get it out there, though, so no worries.

but since you're planning so far ahead anyway, might be a good time to check out http://rrgcc.org/roctrip and go ahead and register ;)

Did Dr. Bob say that? because he is the President.

My fellow staff was pissing me off, sorry for the grumpiness. I meant nothing of what I said, nor did I think before I said it. Remember the air is thin up here.

thanks for info

Hey-

thanks for the info. It is helpful to know that most events will be on the Slade exit area of things, so that is where I made a reservation for a couple campsites.

I'm actually living in Bloomington, IN now, so I know the gorge reasonably well, but I've invited 5 climbing friends from UT, IA, VT, and MA. I'm trying to lure them down by promising them that if they can get their asses to Lex I will take care of everything else including their camping, registration, provisions, etc....hopefully they will bite!

I also took Paul's advice and actually registered myself :? Maybe if none of my friends can come I'll volunteer to clean up or something.

good luck w/ all the details! later.
