As Saxman implied, you appear to be a parody of yourself. 'Their" instead of "they're," "your" instead of "you're." Normally I don't slight grammar or spelling, but if you're talking about dumbasses...

And nobody is immune from criticism. Nobody.

Hey Local - I'll point out Zspider the next time he's in your shop ordering pizza. Maybe you can make a "special" pizza for him.

Mr. Used-to-be, the world changes and so do rules to accomodate those changes. You're not above the rules just because you know how it used to be

Normally, I don't slight people on grammar and proper use of words either, but you asked for it.

"Further" is used in cases of intangible distance. It is the proper word to use in this particular sentence.

"Farther" is used in cases of tangible distance. For example, "The dog ran farther than the cat."

Goddamn that ZSpider dude needs to be bannored......

Ethics are like good manners. If I have to explain them to you, you don't have them and shouldn't expect to be invited to the best parties.

The trees are starting to block the forest. The simple solution is what has been done to a limited extent before. People need to go to the high volume areas and help talk to new people. People need to correct others at Miguel's when they overhear bragging about getting on a tagged route, climbing in a closed area, etc. Good luck dealing with hothead idiots though. There's always one who just wants to be an ass and start a fight anytime you question their actions or try to educate them on a better path.

Sounds like the Government :D :D Do we need a Revolution????
or just some dialogue on the finer points of why we should do or not do things that go against "The Ethics"? I agree with all the ethics presented so far, but have only one question, Besides the red tag thing, was'nt most of this common sense??? pick up trash, be kind to others, pick up your dogs mess, don't write on the rock, pack it in, pack it out etc. etc.
I have been in the Gorge as a "gumby" for a little over a year now, and all this seems like common sense to me, I was'nt told not do these things. I climb at RockQuest when not in the Gorge, alot of the regulars they're, are regulars to the Gorge, so spreading the word is not a problem. The problem lies in what the new climbers do or don't do with this information, if they are not used to suffering any consequences for they're actions before they come here, they will not think twice about any new rules or ethics when they get here. I agree this is a small percentage of climbers and they are easy to pick out, but each year the sport grows, and each year more and more of these types ruin it for the rest of us who do the right things. it's been said numerous times on here, but I'll say it again, If we don't start policing this stuff now, it will just get worse. If I could spend more time in the Gorge I would, I don't have a problem with saying anything to anybody, right is right, and wrong is wrong!!!! I wish I had an answer in this rant, but all I seem to be able to do is point out the obvious.......

Oh yes! I've always admired the town of Nada for its environmental statement.
