I was a little disappointed at how much Two Towers strayed from the book. I know the 1st movie did a little, but Two Towers was almost a different story! Everyone was bragging about how they were following the book to every detail, but honestly about the closest they were was in the names and fairly similar plot line. And why did they need to add all that romance? The movies would have stood just great without it. There was really no romance in the books until number three.

the romance was in the books too dingo, tolkien just wasn't a good enough writer in that respect to bring it to life. i think he is a fantastic writer but his characters are not realistic at all.
