Heres a mental picture for you. Ho,70 years old, sitting in a recliner eating Cheetos, wondering why his pecker is orange. "Dang beeotches! What did they do to me?" That's not fair, could happen to any of us.

Quite true, but for some reason it's funny when it's Ho.

i find that i stick to holds better after allowing my tips to completely de-callouse, and become as soft as my ass cheeks. That way the hold is actually piercing the skin slightly in many places, and thus sticks like none other-- it also makes rubbin one out more pleasureable as well.

Meadows hooked me up with some sea salt / oil scrub thing and it seems like it really helped my tips. I just use it a couple times a week, and it *seems* like my skin lasts longer then before and I am not getting the crease splits nearly as badly. Not sure what the brand is or whatever, but I think she got it at trader joes?

Does anyone know how I can make my skin more calloused or rough? I climb all the time, but my damn skin is so soft and moist... it seems that I'm incapable of keeping my callouses. Grr....

I've been using hoof & heel lotion from feeders supply & it seems to be helping. My hands are tough but not so bad that they rip.
Like pliable(sp?) callouses I guess.
I paid like $7 for a huge bottle of it & it actually smells nice too.

It's from Trader Joes, but health food stores (like Roberts in Lex) and Wild Oats carry the scrub as well. I use the one made with sugar - I ate 1/2 of it actually.

Burts Bees hand salve works great and is much cheaper than the Climb On stuff that seems to be made of about the same goop.
