I fully support the leash policy, Rick. It's amazing how many people drag their canines to the cliffs with the impression that they can do no wrong, or that whatever they do wrong is automatically categorized as "cute," and that climbers who have enough nerve to complain about them are assholes.

I hate people who bitch about dogs. Our dogs are good and we have to deal with hearing negative rants, lumping all dogs into one category, and it just upsets me. Whiney ass climbers that I have to listen to at the crag, smokers, crying babies....all that shit bothers the hell out of me but I deal with it. Sure, if I had a bad dog I would leave it at home but I don't. Zspider, you obviously don't like dogs. At first I thought you were calling people like me assholes who stand up for our dogs. I'll always stand up for our dogs because they're great. I don't care that there's a leash policy and always respect it when there is one. I just think it's rude to complain about dogs, kids, or any other hot topic that you know pisses people off.

Don't feel regretful Rick. A leash law is pretty much an expected thing these days. Torrent has had one for years. It's no big deal.

The climbing community, and pet owners, definitely support and respect your decision. There are a few people who bring aggressive or illbehaved dogs to the crag without care or concern for anyone else. For this reason, there must be a blanket rule. Thanks for not closing down your property and keeping it available for only "a select few." You're great and we all appreciate it.

Its like everything else, a few bad apples will ruin the whole bunch. Problem is that it seems like there are more and more bad apples out there.
