Quite right SCIN. I would also like to add that if we could find the true dates we would find that Colonel Mustard sent Table of Colors long before Porter did while using a candlestick to shove up Power2U's big gaping ass clit.

Ahh..HO it is good to have you back in old form. This thread has been the most interesting one in quite some time...and you just made it that much better by putting the cream on top

SCIN,

I have the old Bronaugh guide book at home that doesn't even list the "direct start". I'll check the dates and let you know for Mercy and Table from that book vs. the new book.

I heard you were on Dinosaur on Sunday..how did it go? Cool climb eh?

By the way where was everybody on Saturday :?: We had LF to ourselves.

Quick description of the direct start or Table..
Climb up 4 feet from cheater stack.
Make move 4 feet to the right.
Climb up 4 feet.
Make move 5 feet to the right.
Climb up 5 feet.
Make another move 5 feet to the right.
Join the original line.

Lets see that makes 14 feet of traversing and 13 feet of upwards movement. Super direct if you aske me...this climbs wider than it is tall :!:
Oh and , yes I did measure it and these figures are EXACT, and yes I want a cookie for climbing in the lovely weather this weekend gave us.

Sorry Piggy no extra Lexi sitting around.

thanks for the measurements power..just goes to show that the "direct" start is more contrived than the original..porter knew what he was doing....

So the 4th bolt is 13 feet off the ground!
That should make the whole route about 50 ft.
And if you use a cheater stack are you aren't doing the route!
Just adding fuel.

yep, cheater stacks make it an "aid" route, and any chump who gives themselves credit for a clean redpoint using this method is a liar. doesn't matter if it is a 2 inch rock, or a three foot high pile...where would it all end?

pig,

you took your shoes off for that first move so that the 1/4 inch sole of your shoes didn't help you cheat through that first reach, right?

How about the preclipped bolt quesation :?:

On this climb is it acceptable to have the first bolt clipped, the second or neither?

Just wondering what the concensus is on this climb.

I guess if you start off of the cheater stack with the second bold preclipped you are a real wanker

bberlier,

You have to add the 8 feet off the ground where the starting holds are on this climb that you actually begin climbing up from to the 13 feet of actual climbing "up" that you do thus making the 4th bolt 21 feet off the ground
