Ohio drivers are boss...end of story. I-75 is indeed a bad place to speed though. I perfer Mtn. Parkway since cops just don't seem to care what your speed is when you get to the two lane part.

Also, I feel that Ohio drivers are under the impression that they can only receive tickets from Ohio state troopers since they barrel down I-75 at around 188 miles per hour. Either that or they're just so giddy to escape Ohio that they forget to lay off the gas.
You must be high.

Doogie, you'll be thinking the Mtn. Parkway is a speedway when one of the White Unmarked cars rolls up behind you!

more richmond beta:
if you're unaccustomed to country roads or speed on the interstate take 75 to 627 to 64 to the mountain parkway instead of 52 (it's longer but faster 80% of the time)
liquor world is cheaper than liquor barn
check out the black feather in berea for dinner, coffee, lunch and live music on weekends
there's contra dancing twice a month in berea for $2-3/person and it's usually a blast
pinnacles in berea are fun to hike and have a very few (totally chossy) climbs (no bolts).
there's phenomenal caving near mt. vernon
that's about all I got- I second that Thai smile and masala are great

I live in Richmond.... If it is good enough for me, then it is good enough for anybody!

Granted I fly to Yosemite every year for a few months...

Richmond isn't half bad for a small Kentucky city.
There is a pretty niche community of actual rock climbers. There is a gym at EKU that isn't half bad when people actually take the time to reset the wall. There are a few guys around that also have home gyms. (If you happen to run across them)

If you want some of the best priced sushi around check out Khin's Sushi. They have amazing customer service and awesome sushi.

You are also about 40 minutes to London which is known by a few but actually has 100+ fresh bolted routes with 0 traffic.

^This. Richmond is one of the least cyclist friendly cities I have ever ridden in, although it does have a nice little bike shop. (Mikes Hike & Bike)

Good luck, hope to see you around.
