That would be true if the donations were actually done small by each person, but it is an average with very few people actually donating. Most people who donate on paypal will donate over $10, versus maybe not at all if paypal were not an option, paypal is a great option to help boost donation and the fee isn't as big of a deal as you think, just average it out like you would the donation and the fee is very small.

yes. my point was that the average daily donation is a somewhat misleading indicator of the support being offered to Muir Valley in proportion to the users (18.000 daily visits)

if the published number were 25 cents a day would that be acceptable? i'm not saying that the paypal cut is a big deal, until put in perspective of the admittedly averaged daily contribution. and, as you state, the fee is very small; my point, again, is that so is the daily donation.

Money donated and I will spread the word. I'm sorry you had to ask, we should all have been giving more all along.

Way to step up. EKU deserves props for this.

So where are all the rest of the universities?

Well, the University of Louisville doesn't have a climbing gym and won't until they build a completely new athletic center which is minimum a few years away. They also don't have a student organization for outdoor activities, although I believe one is in the works. Individual climbers who attend Louisville have contributed.

And will continue to contribute.

Are the donations to FMV tax deductable if it's a non-profit?
