You see Caribe, I disagree. There are too many numb nuts out there having kids, and not enough people who are raising intelligent, self reflective citizens. The latter of these two should be having Mormon sized families to help steer the former.

and just who gets to make this decision wise one? IQ tests? do we need an equal proportion of pianists, doctors, ditch diggers, garbage collectors, and liberals? I happen to agree with sterilization of at least half the population, the top 25% who "think" for a living and actually don't do anything meaningful, and the bottom 25% who suck resources from the middle 50% who actually are productive.
the best answer is to eliminate all rock climbers who suck resources and provide nothing....

I for one think liberals should not breed. Consider it doing your part to reduce your carbon footprint

interesting factoid for those of you mathematically inclined folks:
it's not that the world is overpopulated because too many people are having kids, nor that these folks are having too many kids. (it's okay, you can read it twice)
....rather, it's that they are having these kids too early. in fact, everyone on the planet can have as many kids as they want--the catch is, that if they have them AFTER they turn 25 years old, the world's population of humans will decrease. period. blow your mind, or what?
(just take my word for it--it's too late to bust out the powerpoint slides)

be careful labeling people. there's no such thing as a 'liberal', only people....and yes, some of these people disagree with you on voting day every 4 years.
just like there's no such thing as an 'asshole'--just people who say asshole things from time to time. no such thing as a 'gumby', just people who discovered climbing later than others. except for conservatives... conservatives suck big time.

it's not really about saving the 'planet'. it's about saving humans. saving our way of life.
you're right (sort of), in that there is unstoppable momentum in terms of climate change. however, the goal is not to stop it, and never was--it's to curb it. curb it to a point where humans can still survive.
humans are dependent on the earth--we're not in a bubble. imagine what would happen if one day we discover that we can no longer grow corn. or potatos. or rice. or sugar beets. or lettuce. or tomatoes. or bacon. or beef. or chickens.
that would suck, considering all of this great stuff is out there for us to enjoy.

most likely few of you remember the famine photos in Life magazine or similar publications from the 60s and 70s, malnourished children and human suffering out the yingyang, due to scientific discovers in crop genetics it was possible to increase food production to feed more with the paradox being that people kept increasing their numbers instead of moderating- and yes opinions are like assholes yadda yadda yadda at least liberals do give the world comic relief! I can think of a big ear blue lipped one that conducts himself like a confused child- its funny as hell

Crankmas: You talk so much about the division between liberal and conservative, as if there is some hard thought-line that is crossed if one were to convert from one school to the other. I discuss many topics with people and I see a continuum of opinions only very loosely characterized by these two adjectives.
