Yeah, but then I would look over and notice you were enjoying the beauty more than me. I would try to stare a little harder and enjoy the view even more. You would see me and start to work even harder. Next, we would establish rules about when you can enjoy the beauty, how much you can enjoy, and at what level.

I bet I can still see better than all you gray-hairs combined. When I'm at the top of the cliff all I see when I look down is how small you look! :)

When they give me kudos I like to gloat on the thought that I could be their father yet I just showed them up.
Captain, I'm not sure if you're aware, but the birthday party kids don't care what you flash. To show up some climber kids, you'd have to actually climb while in the gym. You do definitely outstretch us all though. Kudos.

Wow, how does that work without having prior welfare benefits? And how frequently does that happen? I would think that you're spending more on people with a slothful lifestyle - quite opposite of the climber, especially one with goals.

When ppl with no health insurance get injured they have no money for care. So they go to the emergency room where they cannot be turned away. Then the hospitals charge it off on Medicaid as bad debt.

meadows..did you just say a climber with goals? are we sure we can use those two words in the same sentence? unless it is the goal of another proj....

Yes, that is what I meant. Read the context. Those with exercise goals tend to stay healthy (it's like training to run a race in a certain time, which inevitably leads to better health).

Ahh, but you cannot account for the unexpected. Climbers get injured, they catch the flu and they have time bombs coursing through their blood like high blood pressure, cancer, etc. Uninsured cost those of us who pay taxes a lot more than medical cards.

so spragwa, are you for the new universal health care, which has a price tag higher than what you pay now?

the easy answer is if you don't have insurance, you are denied care. period. unless you pay upfront.

quit putting the responsibility on those who have made different choices. you choose to not carry insurance, you live with the risk of high medical bills.

or my proposition is if it goes universal, every single employee takes a 10% cut on their current take home pay to pay for it. that might make those who are "for it" suddenly wake up when it hits their bottom line. and while there at it, make every member of congress buy into the exact same system.
