I'm wondering if your box was actually supposed to go on Table 2 and they mistakenly put it with the stuff on Table 1?

Table 1 had the big prizes (e.g. crash pads) and Table 2 had the little stuff (e.g. chalk, T-Shirts). Maybe the box with the shoes was for Table 1 and the box with the candy was supposed to be for Table 2?

Anyway, glad to hear Amy's doing the right thing and is working to fix the situation.

BJ - i bet you're right. that sounds more likely that they just put the mystery prize on the wrong table. but at the same time someone should have corrected the situation when it happened. i'm glad amy is going to do something to fix it.

the adventure summit is a neat event. 2 years ago they brought in craig leuben and he gave some awesome presentations. well worth going for sure.

i won the other boulder pad from the event and won womens int. i am more than happy to give it up. actually, i feel so shitty about winning it in the first place that i would be more than HAPPY to get rid of it.

also, after the event a friend of julie's came up to the winner of the womens beg, who chose the other mystery box, and told her " you won a pair of shoes? thats weird, the winner of everything got a box of candy. does that seem fair to you?" and scoffed at her and walked away angerly.

she is willing to give julie her shoes, too, even though she had nothing to do with it. she feels guilty as sin, and by the way.... she climbed the comp in rental shoes... she doesnt have a pair of her own.

it sucks that the mystery boxes werent explained right- that is a problem. but man, all of this over a pad?

i agree with julie, i would have been upset too... but then again... i wouldnt make other peple feel guilty or slam a college and its gym workers. arent there better thigns to bitch about?

Julie- contact me for your free pad or shoes.

No buddy is slamming anyone. Please read my post above. Julie and I talked about this whole event on the way out of the comp about how funny it was. We have repeatedly mentioned how great of an event it was.

Shit! TANKAZZ diserved what she got, that candy was super good and im psyched she won it EMMM.

In all seriousness Julie had such a good time at the comp. She said she would go back to the comp if we are in town for it next year. Hell I might even make an appearance (that would get alot of you wanks to show huh?) with that said in my opinion just waive her comp fee next year since she was mislead on the way the prize was set up and all that stuff. There is no reason to take prizes from others and swapping things around.

Oh and trust me julie does not need a new crash pad we are running out of room for the stupid things as it is.

Who ever you are that one INT. keep that crash pad and use the F out of it, and tell your BEG. friend to get a nice pair of shoes and have fun learning and getting stronger.

before you get all upset with me, did you read all of the posts? i know four pages is a lot of crap to read, but i really did try to calm this thing down.
also, do you check your email? judging from the user name here and the comparison with one of the people i emailed earlier today, i think you're the same person. if so, check your email, because i sent it earlier, and specifically stated that i felt bad and DID NOT want anyone to hand over anything. you should both be proud of what you won (and see above post, where i specifically mention how much it would have sucked for a beginner to win a gag prize; that's super awesome she got shoes).
i'm sending you a private message on here as well, and i'm going to pm the person who i think this whole conflict is about (judging from users who joined today).
i can only affect what i do, and i apologize that apparently my behavior has resulted in this mess.

I think it says a lot about this community when people stand behind each other for what's right - doing the right thing and standing behind each other isn't a mess :) we are lucky is all
