This may have been suggested, but three things that might be cool....

1) Keep track of attempts prior to sending.
2) A private notes section where you can log beta, highpoints, etc.... Nothing more annoying than forgetting the key right foot because it was 3 months between burns. :)
3) Crag / route suggestions when browsing. Something akin to Amazon suggestions when you buy an album (i.e. "You might also like"). It could be based on spray list data. For example, the users highest redpoint to date is 5.11a, so routes or crags with concetrations of that grade are suggested. Or routes that have been cataloged with similar moves as the users highest redpoint. You know, using their own data against them. :lol:

Also, I've looked around at other guides looking for ideas. Most are rudimentary in comparison.. you all kick ass.

I still want my two points for sending Kate's first trad lead.

@woman: ok on the fa's (or some version of it), and i'll see work on making spraying easier
@lander: ok, you got it..
@jay: nope, spray will be public
@saxman: already being worked on
@bcombs:
1) already incorporated into the next iteration
2) ..possibly.. might have to think about that.. are other people for this one?
3) man, you're really testing my abilities.. i like it ;) i was thinking about this and how it might be done. i have a few ideas. i'll see what i can do but no promises.

(as a side note, brainstorm with me a bit: would look at percent of each type, sport vs. trad.. then at grade, then quality, then.. region? walls? user votes? popularity?.. and when it came up with some ideas, would go one interval plus/minus and return those to you in order of "relevance")
and great loves will one day have to part -smashing pumpkins

When it comes to quality, only return 3-5 star routes? Or whatever is still the default for new entries. Seems like type, then grade would cover most of it. Of course, you would only want to return routes that are not in the users spray list.

Region is interesting.... If the logged climbs are mostly MV do you give results in Muir a higher listing or try to push them to other areas. Seems like suggesting PMRP routes to a MV'er might be good to spread out traffic? You could draw crowds to the newer crags, or more importantly draw the crowd away from the crag you plan to visit next. :twisted:

is there a way to set up the filter on spray lists to get a range, like everything between 5.9 and 5.10, or everything climbed between october 2008 and december 2008? that'd be nice.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.

How about a pop up msg feature similar to Facebook?

Is there any way to tweak the graphs to make the x-axis easier to read?
