ynp1, love how you use "they" instead of "we."

It's easy to be part of the we, most everyone else around here is.

i use "they" because i am not part of the RRGCC. im not trying to fool anybody...

i should become part of the club because eveyone else is??? that is kind of a weak reason, right???

how much does it cost now a days?

It's flexible, many people that don't have cash just offer to help and volunteer. We all basically give what we can and the "club" as you call it is simply a group of kids trying to keep climbing areas open, build some trails, and pay for the 750 acres that is the PMRP.

You only have to make peace with your conscious. Personally I'd be uncomfortable climbing on the PMRP, using the trails other people built, or disparaging those efforts if I ever personally reaped the benefits of all those peoples' work and didn't try to do my part.

That's just me though.

unlike other coalitions, there are no annual dues to be a member. membership is based on voluntary contributions - either time or money or both.

if you have some time this weekend, we sure could use you! send me a PM of when you're available and i'll find something that fits. of course monetary donations are always welcome. and we sure hope you come and party. :-D

this is kinda interesting too.

ynp1, What are your ideas for paying for the property and maintaining it? You don't have to take up membership in the RRGCC "club" to contribute.

BTW, Charlie ... that's a very diplomatic response for someone who slept 3 hours last night because you were busy working on Rocktoberfest. :D

A big thanks to the 200+ people who have pre-registered for Rocktoberfest! According to the thermometer on the RRGCC website we are closing in on the halfway mark towards our 2009 PMRP payment goal. The way things are coming together with the weather forecast we will quite possibly come out of the weekend with the 2009 payment in hand.

A big thanks goes out to to all the volunteers who have helped put this event together and to our event sponsors including: Petzl, La Sportiva, Mountain Gear, Keen, Black Diamond, Five Ten, Prana, North Face, Sterling, Rock & Ice, Red Bull, Primal Spirit Foods, Joshua Tree Climbing Salve, The Access Fund, The American Alpine Club, Miguel's Pizza, Red River Outdoors, Lago Linda Hideaway, Phillip Gall's, The Warrior's Way - Desiderata Institute, and the Solid Rock Climbers for Christ.

registration is open for only a little longer.. until noon today.

please.. i know we're all slackers to some extent.. but pre-registering helps us out a ton. it'd be really appreciated if you could do this if you're planning on attending.
