You blew it. You should have ordered scuba gear.
'Darling, may I please be excused for a moment?
I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope to introduce you to after dinner.'
The polite way to excuse yourself and take a piss.

Maxim ropes are by far the best handling and longest lasting.
Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.

El Tray,
Since when do you worry about ropes? You must be getting old.
I remember a Tray that did laps on A Late One with a sad scrap of fuzzy rope that was so haggard and soft you could pinch it in two with gentle pressure and (no shit) had duct tape protecting the sheath. Most folks would seriously not use it to walk their dogs.

I own a mammut rope.. it's great. at 2 years old, it has seen a ton of action and many huge falls. it's still keeping its composure quite well--it even seems to resist glazing a lot better than other ropes (petzl). no sign of the core coming loose from the sheath anywhere. my next rope will be a mammut.

i will be using mine for toproping mostly, but I like it so far. I like the fact that it is very light and is easy to carry up these nasty hills we have around here. This weekend I am taking a group of kids from my church out to climb, and I think this rope will be great. Btw, i was thinking of taking the "church" kids to torrent, would that be kewl?

well off to toprope. laters.
