I love the train. It's so perplexing to me that every year the Republicans try to kill the few million that subsidizes Amtrak but the airlines get billions in tax breaks, airport funding, and bail-out loans. It would be nice to be able to hop on a train here and ride it to Slade.

and then mooch off your SUV driving republican friends to actually get to the crags...now why didn't I think of that.

Does one have to be a republican to drive an SUV or vice versa? I wasn't aware of this.

you'll have to ask alan evil for a ruling on that one....he is the one who knows the hearts and minds of the evil bastards. I've been told I have to give up my subaru because I am not a lesbian, but I refuse to give up my cool status symbol.

If there was a train to Slade I'd ride my bike to the crags. It would really suck because then I'd have to camp out and climb two days every time.

Just got home from Bluegrass Airport. Only I didn't go anywhere. We got on the plane headed for Vegas by way of Cincy, got out to the runway, turned around and came back for a mechanical inspection. 45 minutes later we deplaned and that flight was canceled because the plane was a junker. Choice was to arrive in Vegas at midnight (instead of 5:30 pm) or leave the next day. Joy.
I'm seeing more delays caused by mechanical issues than weather these days. Are planes just falling apart or what?

If you knew how old the planes are you wouldn't be suprised.
