could they bust you for climbing the cliffs but not jumping off them, just wondering how the law is worded.

I believe they have stated that deep water soloing was also covered in the ban.

then your injured, Its self regulating so they didn't have to cover that in law.

I believe this is the same ban that applies to Summersville Lake, right? As far as I've heard the official rule is "no entering the water from a height greater than your own." So what if you climb but don't fall? :wink:

Besides, I don't know about you guys, but when I enter the water, I always enter right at water level. How you enter the water from a height greater than your own mystifies me as most normal people are still in the air at that height... :twisted: :roll:

Just for the record - We never packed 30 people onto a 6 person boat. We rented the boats (10 person limit) from the Grayson Lake Marina for $125.00 per day plus fuel. This worked out to be less than $20/person on average which all participants seemed to gladly pay. Not to mention supporting other local businesses with tourism dollars. This has the potential to bring much needed cash flow into some of the poorest counties not only in the state, but in the U.S. And after talking with fellow climbers, it seemed that it would only get more popular. I'll bet that's were some of us would be tomorrow if only we could.

jus go an talk to the guy - you know the enforcement dude. Maybe bring him a present or something :)
