Man, I think back on my climbing career and thank my lucky stars it's worked out the way it has. Everyone needs to climb with stonerz, I still triple check myself and all my partners every pitch!

Nope i don't think that. Many people out there feel that they are though. Just because you have many years under your belt does not mean you are safe. Perhaps just lucky. Keep those break hands in place, double check, know your limits, drop the ego, be safe, and please have fun.

Yes! Very Curious! If gear is failing then we need to know; what, how, where, and why. If it is climber err this is also a good thing to know, but more preventable. I think most would agree.

the accident at sky bridge was not due to gear failure.

any way you slice it, gear failed, pulled, used improperly, rock broke, lightnign struck, avalanche, dogs, bees, dogs that spit bees, rednecks, crazy bastards, bad belays, whatever. we control our own safety and know the risks we take. hell that's what makes it fun. you have the decision if something is proper and as safe as it can be. key point: CLIMBING IS DANGEROUS, YOU COULD BE HURT OR KILLED!! do your best to prevent an accident but always know, this shit ain't safe and we are all mentally not right for taking part in it. stack your odds.

If climbing makes me "mentally not right" then people who drive on the highway ought to be locked up.

I wish my dogs would learn how to spit bees. But all wishing aside, it is far too easy for people to get too comfortable and forget how dangerous shit is. Driving your car talking on the phone while trying to turn your radio to 98.1 the bull can get you killed. people forget that shit all the time and it drives me crazy.

turning your radio to 98.1 the bull without talking on the phone or drivng should get you killed anyway.
