He's pretty low class, but I doubt he's stupid enough to show his face anywhere in the Gorge.

Sometimes it takes someone pointing something out to realize it was there all along.

Anyway - let's not forget the downside to Torrent re-opening. It means that your project route there is no longer "the one that got away." Crap - I'm going to have to really, really get back in shape and finally send Bandolier. (assuming that everything goes well!)

Despite my bitching, this is a great turn of events! Some of the folks around the Red never fail to amaze!

Hmm... So "Details regarding long term access for climbing are being worked out..." is a euphemism for "open climbing is coming"? Cool. I surely didn't see any "hidden agenda" but I didn't exactly equate one with the other.

I suppose I have not been frequenting this site long enough to understand, I disagree with Zspiddy's beliefs, they only make perfect sense to one who has never questioned anything his authority figures have told him. I know several people who's beliefs are no based on reason no matter what evidence is presented, its a bit narrow but that happens, so I try to ignore his ignorance. however, I have never seen so many good people dislike one person so much in my life. I am sure you are proud of yourself spiddy, but stop to think once in a while.

i wasnt going to post in this thread, too early. there are still a lot of things being worked out as far as climbing and the property are concerned. be patient, details will be announced as soon as all parties involved feel its time.

but i am amazed that people have allowed exciting news like this to go to the dump this quick. i have no time for drama. if you want to flame and argue like first graders go to a differnet thread.

Matt, Amy and Bob-
Congrads on your new adventure! Matt and Amy, I am so proud of the both of you and what you have accomplished ever since I've known you! I'm excited to see what your plans are for the place.
Although, I too an wondering why it was agreed that Mark could still live there with the possiblity of climbing to reopen at Torrent? It sounds like a conflict of interest regarding both parties, but I'm sure Bob, Matt and Amy are smart people. If it happens, it happens...if it doesn't then it doesn't... There are more places to climb at the Red. We should support and respect their investment, regardless of the outcome.
I'm sure the ONLY reason Matt, Amy and Bob decided to purchase this land was NOT to reopen the crag. The investment possiblities for Torrent are tremendous with the beautiful cabins and the via ferrada and the lodge > (for you, Matt) ). I think Matt and Amy have proven they can make a potato salad out of a single potato. I, for one, am excited to see what they have in store for Torrent.
Best of Luck!
