lol...gotta save the world from it's own stupidity, my friend. if we all voted conservative and clipped bolts only, then the karmic gawds would smile pleasingly.

I say split the cam in two! give one half to the finder and the other to the owner!

I stand corrected. I never would have guessed you could demonstrate such philosophical wisdom.

aha! only the true owner would love the cam enough to sacrafice it rather than see it split up! Thus Snowpup has proven that she is indeed the true owner by her willingness to part with something so dear. how's that for philosophic wisdom charlie?

i had a similar exp at fortress. haas and i found 2 .4 bd cams, 2 nuts and 4 slings at the thunder chicken belay. we of course put em on our rack and thought SCORE as we do most booty found !!!! cause in all honesty booty found is booty found. a few weeks later a good buddy of mine was talking about being missing some gear, i asked him where he had been climbing and what was gone. it was his gear and he had a bad day and things happened so the gear was left. after some pretty harsh heckling we returned the gear to him in exchange for bourbon and beer, it was the right thing to do since we knew whos gear it was, kinda like returning/or hoping someone will return your lost car keys/wallet or if you fall in a pond when its 15 degrees out that someone will fish you out and make sure you dont die, its all the right thing to do.

snow-your gonna have to offer a beer reward for the cam.

if that does not work i have decided to once again take one for the team for the well being of all.

i will keep the cam at the shop. i will make sure that it stays in practice and continues to catch many falls. when ever snow or ynp1 need to use it they can pick it up(with of course a $50 deposit with $10 available upon return of the unit in good condition).

i have thought long and hard over this and thats the only logical thing for everyone to do.

What about diet death juice for a reward? And to all those who say to return it for good karma, you are wrong! That is selfish, one should return it to be kind, not so they will recieve good karma. I like the rental idea too.
