enlighten me. what did he say.."my intentions are all wrong in soloing"....

or are you taking his words and then judging them as such?

No sir. You inferred that I said his intentions were wrong. I didn't say that. They were different.... fame driven. He soloed for cameras only.

That is the opposite of what Terry was implying in his post.

Don't judge someones words and then accuse them of judging someones words....

Most trad climbers have done a bit of soloing........just depends on when you put that first piece in! Then again, I watched/belayed several climbers on a sport route last weekend that was in need of some serious re-bolting........I'm pretty sure they were soloing............crazy bastards!

Soloing is personal and in my opinion should be kept that way far from the ego and the crowds.

OW, no worries man.....just like a tight wound traddie, you misunderstood Pigfeet's banter....I could care less who or why folks solo....I was just trying to assert there are no "right" reasons (for self) and "wrong" reasons (for cameras) to solo. There are only personal reasons, none better or worse.

I think OW is upset because he is now aspiring to be a sport weenie (just look at his grudge list) and having a hard time dealing with these desires.

that wasn't soloing becuase I am sure those bolts would of held body weight if we really really slowly shifted our bodyweight onto them. so we probably could of stopped and rested if we had wanted to.

if you think about it rusty quarter inchers are sort of like bashies....

I'm not aspiring. I AM a sport weenie.

I even own an anodized grigri now......

And theres a stick clip in the backseat of my car.....
