i don't know. since the area is simply DBNF land and not the RRG proper, i would think that you are right in part... that the yahoos will be back and trash the place, but they are currently trashing other places, so within the RRG proper. Spreading out the impact may be better in the long run. Carrying Capacity issues say that we need this area.

Indian Creek IS within the RRG, LAC area and is part of the Archaeological District.

You're actually right JB. I'm really just selfish and am using that arguement because I'd rather keep it in its current form just so i don't have to share it with the yahoos. But I still say it should stay closed.

that's cool dude... i'm with you... and keeping it away from yahoos is a good argument. I'd argue that we just ban all yahoos.

You'd be the first to be banned dude.
I'm with JB, ban all the yahoos!

Can we do that? And if so, why didn't we do it a long time ago?

Trivia question: does anyone know what the first literary mention of the word "yahoos" was?

i think there's a provision for it in the LAC paperwork:
"if it is determined that if the establishment of new regulations due to findings in Limits of Acceptable Change process results in total disregard of said regulations by those who recreate on the land, the USFS retains the right to shoot said individuals at will. This act is covered under provision 9mm.357.45 which states in part "if we did all this work and filed out all these damn government forms just for you to ignore them, then prepare for us to be pissed off and react with deadly force".
